Description

Hanna’s Bees reusable vegan food wraps are made in Cork, Ireland. We make our wraps by hand using 100% cotton fabric, candelilla wax, eco soy wax, organic jojoba oil and pine resin. The blend of waxes, resin and oil creates a waterproof and slightly sticky wrap perfect for storing food.

The wraps are great reusable replacements for cling film and other single-use plastics. Both in your kitchen and in your lunchbox. Jojoba oil has anti-fungal and antibacterial properties: an ideal material to use with food to help keep it fresh for longer. By switching to vegan wraps, you will save money, cut down on plastic waste and help save the environment!

Our reusable vegan food wraps come in a wide range of beautiful and vibrant prints especially selected to bring colour, fun and style into your kitchen or lunchbox.

Using your vegan food wraps

To use your vegan food wrap, cover or wrap your item of choice and heat the folds with your hands. Press down gently to seal. To clean your wrap, rinse it in cold or lukewarm water between uses, with or without mild soap. You can also be wipe it clean using a damp cloth. After that, leave to dry and reuse for up to a year or longer.

Do not use your vegan wrap with hot food, raw meat or in the microwave.

To prolong the life and performance of your vegan wrap, we recommend that it should be refreshed, or pasteurised, every few months. Do this by placing your wrap on greaseproof paper and putting in the oven at 70-80 degrees Celsius. 3-5 minutes is usually enough, so make sure not to leave them in for too long. This will melt the waxes and allow them to be reabsorbed into the cotton. As a result, your wrap will look and feel fresh and sticky again.

Rewaxing to prolong life

Some of our customers love their vegan wraps so much that they don’t want to get new ones. They instead opt to rewax them to make them last longer. Hanna’s Bees Vegan Rewax Bars do the job perfectly and contain the same mix of waxes, oil, and resin that we use to make our vegan wraps.
